Break The Ice

It doesn’t matter how you #BreakTheIce.

All that matters is that you do.

Help us build a mentally strong city by starting a conversation. EMBRACE Pittsburgh is proud to partner with the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation to Break the Ice when it comes to talking about mental well-being.

Be an icebreaker. Check-in with yourself and neighbors.

Ask yourself, “What have I done today to improve my mental strength?”

Ask your neighbor, “How do you practice mental wellness?”

Starting a conversation on your well-being can pay off in all aspects of your life. It can boost your mood, build resilience, and add to your overall joy.

When you start the conversation, you help to build a mentally strong and stigma-free community. Keep the discussion going by asking questions and trying these three mental-wellness tips from Psychology Today:

1) Tell yourself something positive.
2) Write down something for which you’re grateful.
3) Focus on one thing in the moment.

For more ways to improve your mental well-being, check out the complete article in Psychology Today.
