Pittsburgh Dancer Wellness Fair

The Minding the Gap dancer wellness fair is day-long event designed to mentally and physically support dancers in the Pittsburgh region. Attendance to the event is free, but there are some opportunities that require a paid registration. The event begins at 10 am with a private master ballet class with the internationally renowned American ballet dancer, educator, and former principal at the American Ballet Theatre, Susan Jaffe. This class is appropriate for intermediate and advanced dancers who are at least high school aged. Registration is required, $55 fee, space is limited. At noon Susan Jaffe will lead dancers through a portion of her new mindfulness series "The Effect of Intention" - a newly released online workshop which is designed after her own meditation practice. Registration is required, $10 fee, space is limited. From 10:30 am - 12:30 pm physical therapy screenings with UPMC Sports Medicine will be available. Registration is required, FREE. See the full event schedule here Other FREE resource offerings throughout the day include: Mental health resources - Yoga class - introduction to Gyrokinesis - nutrition resources - snacks - all the hugs and hi fives you need - and more. Registration is strongly encouraged even in you are not planning to participate in a paid or registration required program offering. The George Rowland White Performance Complex is a secure building, your registration will allow us to communicate information to gain entry to the space as well as inform how much food we should provide.
